But the country has recently been ravaged by a massive earthquake and deadly tsunami, shutting down outside communication and making travel all but impossible. Still, Olivia is determined to make it to Colombia to find the answers she so desperately seeks. What she needs is a guide—a mercenary.

The man named Thomas arrives in shadows, an unmistakable air of danger about him, promising to help lead her through the ruined, crime-infested country. But when Thomas and Olivia find themselves fighting an undeniable attraction, danger takes on a whole new meaning. Then again, in the lush jungles of South America, all the rules are different and Thomas and Olivia are about to discover that sometimes the thing you seek, isn’t necessarily the thing you find.

Mary’s 4 Star Review

This one wasn’t on my radar, and when Mia announced this surprise release it piqued my interest. It wasn’t like any of her other books, but if you think about it, every one of her books differ from the other. She doesn’t stick with the same formula that some other authors do. She crafts a unique story every time. That’s why I anxiously dived into this one, and I can honestly stay I loved this one from the very first page to the last. The adventure, mystery, and off the charts chemistry had me turning the pages and not wanting it to end.

Livvy’s fiancé has been missing for quite some time. She’s hires a private detective and finds that he is in Columbia. She needs to know what happened to him. They were seemingly happy, and although he was having some financial issues everything was great. She hires Thomas to escort her to Columbia which was recently ravaged by a earthquake and Tsunami. He is an ex navy seal who has specific survival skills that she is looking for. Thomas is a mystery, and although he is helping her find her fiancé she can’t help be drawn to him. They encounter a few obstacles, and a bit of danger while traveling. He saves her life, and they become closer on their journey. She can’t help but wonder what happened to the man she promised to marry and can’t move on with her life until she knows what really happened to him. She is torn between her connection to Thomas, and her commitment to her fiancé. Trouble seems to make it’s way to her until the very end, but will Thomas be willing to save her when more is on the line then just completing his job.

This one had a wild twist. Well, more then one wild twist, but one that had me going back and re reading to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Thomas and Livvy were amazing characters, both from total different lives, yet so in tune with the other. I love meeting these kinds of characters in books. They are far from transparent, but brave to the core. The mysteries that surround them bring them into each others worlds. Through it all they stuck together.

If you like a fast paced, hardy, and suspenseful romance, then Seek will be right up your alley. Mia Sheridan does a fantastic job proving that with love we can overcome anything.
