Synopsis

Zoey Handler is ready to put an end to her decade-long rivalry with Gordon Meyers. They’ve traded top spot between valedictorian and salutatorian for years, but all that’s over now. Right? But after a crazy graduation speech prank gets out of hand, suddenly their rivalry turns into all-out war. Time to make peace with a little friendly payback.

Step one? Make him believe they’re now friends.

Step two? Show him the time of his life at an epic graduation party.

Step three? Don’t fall for his tricks.

Step four? Absolutely, positively, do not kiss him again.

So what if he’s cute? (Okay, hot.) So what if he’s charming? (Heaven help her, tempting.) So what if he apologizes? (That has to be fake.) She knows the real Gordon. And no matter how much her heart begs her to stop, there’s no turning back.

Disclaimer: This Entangled Teen Crush book contains one epic party, complete with every high-schoolers-gone-bad shenanigan, and two rivals who discover maybe they could be something much more…if only they’d stop fighting long enough to notice it.

Mary’s 3.5 Star Review

I love books that let you reminisce of the past. Who could ever forget High School? Four years of awkward stages, and finally discovering what our lives could become. Looking back I never appreciated what a great experience it really was. After reading Love Between Enemies I realized I miss it a little. The story wasn’t near what I went through in school, but relatable. I truly believe some things never change, and that’s why I was reminded of the cliques we all fit into. This book was a unique take on the enemies to lovers trope. I enjoyed reading about Gordon and Zoey. A little mix of all the teen drama’s I’m addicted to.

Gordon and Zoey have been competing academically since they were kids. They are graduating and close to ending their long feud. When Gordon realizes that Zoey may have misled him he decides to teach her a lesson, embarrassing her in from of the entire student body. She then decides to take it to the next level tricking him into thinking she likes him and pulling a dangerous prank. Things start to get interesting when Zoey gets to know Gordon. She finds him to be charming, kind, and a perfect match for her. What will happen on grad night when Gordon finds out the girl he has fallen for has plans to destroy him?

These two were cute, I loved they were smart, driven, and coming into their own. They acted immature, but they were teens. They didn’t have any real life experience. Their characters were carefully crafted, and although the timeframe of the actual book was just a few days, I could see that this was a turning point for them. They finally were able to get to know one another, and confide in what their feelings held. It was almost like all the craziness, and fighting was worth it to get to the point where they could finally have what they always secretly wanted.

This story is a crossover of sorts. The other books take place the same night, but with different characters intertwined. I haven’t read the others in the series, but this one stood out to me. I love a good nerd romance, and enemies to lovers is my favorite kind of romance. So, I wasn’t passing this one up. I did expect a bit more fiery passion from these two. I know it’s YA, but I wanted more from them in the end. I wasn’t disappointed the book was good, and I’d recommend it to my fellow readers especially those who love YA. This was a fun read that took me back. I wouldn’t mind reading more books like this in the future.
