Crave by Shanora Williams

Author: Shanora Williams

Release Date: December 15th, 2017

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Every Sunday morning it’s just us in a fancy hotel suite.

We fight, argue, and make up like teenagers do.

We touch, we suck, but we don’t kiss.

No, we never kiss.

His lips have been all over my body – everywhere but on top of mine.

I wasn’t supposed to need his touch.

To beg for a kiss . . . just one little kiss.

But our little arrangement has swallowed me whole.

I only crave one thing, but I know he’ll never give it to me.

Because the only way he’ll kiss a woman is if he loves her.

And my playboy boss will never love me.

Christina’s 4 Star Review

Jude (aka Judas or Clement) and Jenna meet every Sunday at a hotel for lazy days full of non-committed sex. Jenna knew that going in but after months of their arrangement, she can’t help to have fallen for the handsome alpha Jude. Problem is, Jude is her boss, and as the owner of an upscale architecture firm, his family has expectations of him and where he should be focusing his attention for future wives. None of his family’s visions include the non-lily white secretary who has stolen his heart. Will Jude bow to the pressure of his family or will he seek his own happiness with the only woman that has made him break his own rules?

The story is told in the first person from both Jude and Jenna’s points of view. The storyline is engaging and the challenges that the couple faces made me root for them from the get go. Despite his outward aloofness and as such the slow speed in which I warmed to him, he did redeem himself, and his character/personality caught up with his hotness.

Crave is a short, sweet, sexy novella and can easily be read in one sitting. It’s brevity doesn’t lend itself to a whole lot of story or character development, however as the author discloses from the very beginning, an epic story tale was not the goal. For what it was, it was hot and entertaining, definitely. This is my first book by this author and I will definitely be checking out her other work!
