Sawyer wants a life of her own.

Finn wants to forget he ever had one.

After a tragedy, Finn Hollis escapes

into the swamp to be alone.

That is until Sawyer Dixon shows up,

all SCORCHING HOT innocence,

claiming she owns the land less than

fifty feet from his front door.

Sawyer gets under his SKIN, but even worse?

She makes him WANT things.

Things Finn hasn’t wanted in a very very long time.

Finn WANTS Sawyer gone.

Almost as much as he wants her in his BED.

The Outskirts is Book One in the Outskirts Duet.

Julie’s 4 Star Review

It’s 11:30pm, and while my day with my kids has wiped all my energy and I feel half brain dead, this book refuses to let me go. I have fully committed to losing any amount of sleep needed because I’m invested. I need to know how this story plays out. I’m totally engrossed and enjoying the story. I don’t see it coming, but it does. Like a slap to the face, a shot to the heart, it’s over. A cliffhanger!!!!!!! How?! Why?! I need answers!!!!!

Outskirts is different from many books I’ve ready. You know as soon as you meet the two main characters, Sawyer and Finn, that you like them, want the best for them, and you’ll root for them instantly. They are facing very different struggles but real struggles nonetheless. They are both finding their way in life and trying to leave the past behind. The question is though, will the past let itself be left behind?

While Sawyer is finding a new life away from the oppressive life she’s left behind, Finn is embracing a life of solitude and pain believing that’s what he deserves. They seem so different but when push comes to shove, are they really?

“I have learned in my life that there are two kinds of people. The weak and the strong. Those who are truly strong try and lift others to make them feel just as strong. Those who are weak do their best to make others feel as helpless as they do. Surround yourself with the strong. Fall in love with the strong. Share your life with someone who is going to make you face your storms, not hide from them.”

Storms will be weathered, secrets will be uncovered, friendships will be mended, so many firsts will be experienced, and love will be found. With the swamp as the backdrop there is never a dull moment in the Outskirts. I can’t wait to read the conclusion!
