Synopsis

Hard-core fucking.

It’s not what I really want, but it’s all he has to offer. He’s filled with turmoil and heartache and regrets, but for two hours every Wednesday all he feels is me. How much I desire him, how desperate he makes me, how much I’d like things to be different between us. Real.

He used to be my best friend back before he got married. And now? Now, he’s a young widower. It would be wrong on so many levels to expect something more from him, so I give him what he needs. Dark, delicious fucking.

But I know I can’t keep this up. I’ve already given him my body, my soul. I want him to have my heart. It might drive him away forever, but that’s a risk I’m willing to take.

Wednesday is an angsty romp told from dual points of view. If you’re in the mood for something quick and dirty, you’ve found it. Proceed at your own risk.

Christina’s Four Star Review

I’m going to start by saying that Chloe and Shaw need a full-length book. This is a short story that is so fast-paced and exhilarating I just wanted MORE!

Chloe and Shaw grew up together and were best friends until Shaw came home from college a married man. Chloe had harbored a secret crush on him for years, so when he walked down the aisle she knew that the friendship that she once cherished would likely be over as she knew it. But when Shaw’s wife dies tragically just one year after their wedding and Shaw shows up at her door, is there a chance that Chloe can finally have a chance with him? Or is Shaw just using her to get through his grief? Is Chloe using him just as much as he is using her?

This really has the making of an amazing book. I instantly took to the characters and I am a serious sucker for the friends-to-lovers trope, so I fell for this one hardcore. BUT, it was too short. I know, I know, it’s marketed as a quick and dirty read, but Ryan created two characters that I loved so much that I wanted MORE! Reading the dual POV from both the hero and the heroine’s perspectives really showed just how much angst (again, marketed as a very angsty read!) they were each struggling with, and that inner-turmoil made their story raw yet steamy. In such a short story Ryan was able to craft characters with depth and a storyline that was enthralling. This is one you’ll want to devour in one sitting.
